Rental Terms & Conditions:

  1. BEFORE making payment for an online order, call or WhatsApp the Sound FX team on 079-340 6964 to check stock availabilty.

  2. Short notice bookings e.g. day before function or day of function, contact the Sound FX team 079-340 6964 to confirm stock availability. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BOOK ONLINE OR MAKE PAYMENT BEFORE CHECKING STOCK AVAILABILTY AS REFUNDS WILL BE SUBJECT TO A 10% HANDLING FEE, PAID 1ST WORKING TUESDAY AFTER CANCELLATION!

  3. Quotes are valid for 24 hours or while stock lasts. Advanced bookings are essential. Please book at least 1 week in advance to avoid disappointment.

  4. Long term rentals, contact the office 079 340 6964 to discuss billing.

  5. Payment needs to reflect in our First National Bank (FNB) account before the booking can be confirmed. Payments from other banks can take up to 2 working days for funds to clear.

  6. As per our website https://staging.soundfx.co.za/contact/ our Office trading hours are: Monday – Thursday: 8am – 5pm; Friday: 8am – 1pm (thereafter onsite at Functions); Saturday: Closed (onsite at Functions); Sunday/Public Holidays: Closed

  7. Rental collection/return times from Durbanville are: Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 10:30am; Saturday: Closed (onsite at Functions); Sunday/Public Holidays: Closed. Delivery times are: Monday – Friday: 10am – 2pm; Saturday: Closed (onsite at Functions); Sunday/Public Holidays: Closed.” Late returns can only be received the following working day between 8:30am and 10:30am and clients will be billed for an extra day (or days if retained longer than 1 day)!

  8. Deliveries are available by prior arrangement and billed according to distance. For weekend bookings, deliveries are on a Friday and collections on a Monday.

  9. A refundable breakage fee is required upon receiving goods & the amount due is dependent on item/s booked (fee sent with official quotation and/or booking confirmation).

  10. The breakage fee is refunded once hired items are returned in original working condition & have been tested.

  11. Equipment is NOT covered by insurance once it leaves our premises! It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the safe keeping and insurance of all equipment on site (at the venue). Considering ongoing load shedding, we highly recommend that you use power surge protectors to reduce electricity spikes & possible damages to equipment. In the event of any equipment being damaged, (i) the FULL damage deposit will be retained to offset any replacement and/or repair costs and (ii) any replacement and/or repair costs exceeding the damage deposit amount will be for the customers account – to be settled within 24 hours of receiving invoice!

  12. Verification required – present your green ID document, Passport or Drivers licence upon receiving goods.

  13. We do not offer technical support after hours or on weekends & recommend re-testing once goods are received.

  14. Where applicable, call-outs are billed from R550 per hour (or part thereof). Subject to availability and/or travel distance.

  15. If a booking is cancelled more than 1 week prior to the booking date then (i) a 50% cancellation fee applies. (ii) No refunds for cancellations the week of the function. (iii) Damage deposits are refunded in full.

  16. Date changes at a 10% surcharge, subject to availability.

  17. Sonique Fusion CC T/A Sound FX Entertainment accepts no liability for any loss, theft, damage or injuries arising due to unforeseen circumstances, once goods leave our office.
